Develop Haiti is nearly a week old

I had planned to write why Develop Haiti matters.  But it’s 12:30am and with the exception of going to the gym, baking a chicken, eating and going to the bathroom, I’ve been working on the site all day.

Some folks in social media and someone I met at the February UNA Haiti meeting reached out to me today.  Tomorrow I’m going to a fundraiser for a Haitian school.  And I’m hitting a party afterwards (I deserve it)

In turn though, I’m also asking people for help.  I can’t do this alone.  At certain points throughout this week I’ve sat back and wondered, What the heck have I gotten myself into?

I don’t doubt DH though. I’m sure it’s going to grow and I’m sure I can grow it.  But I wonder about how I will balance it all and earn a living, too.  Working class immigrant kids don’t go to good schools to become entrepreneurs. We go to become the first doctor, lawyer or investment banker in the family.  Silly me. I must not have gotten the memo.
